Assistance League® of North Coast is a community of hands-on volunteers dedicated to enriching the lives of those in need. Established as a guild in 1992, and a chapter in 2000, Assistance League® of North Coast is the 105th chapter of National Assistance League®.
We consist of approximately 150 local volunteers who give more than 15,000 hours of service each year. Our philanthropic projects are made possible by donations, grants, our thrift shop surplus and the one major fundraising event each year, our Autumn Fantasy.
Our members give their time to the community through work on various committees and programs of their choice, as well as through appointed or elected offices that they hold.
About National Assistance League®.
We are guided by the Bylaws, Policies and Standards of National Assistance League® which was founded in 1935 and incorporated in 1949. There are currently 120 chapters, Assisteens®, and chapters-in-formation located throughout the United States.
National Assistance League® was the first nonprofit, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization founded in the West which recognizes the potential of volunteers helping those less fortunate to a better and more meaningful life. Chapters are autonomous tax exempt, charitable corporations, whose Philanthropic Programs are actively controlled and administered by chapter members to serve the specific needs of the local community.
